Youth Programs

For more than a century, the Boy Scouts of America has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. We believe - and, through more than a century of experience, know - that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible and productive society.

Scouting's Programs

Boy Scouts- designed for young men ages 11-17, Boy Scouts learn responsible citizenship, character development and self reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities and educational programs. Beginning in February 2019, this program will change names to Scouts BSA and be available to young men and women ages 11-17.

Exploring- a career learning program for young men and women between the ages 14-20. Exploring units, called "posts", usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, health, law, aviation or engineering.

Reaching for Tomorrow- in partnership with the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, Reaching for Tomorrow develops the potential of youth by providing grade-specific, character education and basic skills for special needs and at-risk students in the classroom. It includes curriculum created by national educators and psychologists and is taught by certified instructors.
