Microsoft Boy Scout Merit Badge Programming Spring 2014 - Crossroads of America Council is excited about a new partnership with the Microsoft Store located at the Fashion Mall at Keystone. STEM based merit badge programming will now be offered throughout the year for Boy Scouts. For courses, dates, registration and prerequisite information click here.

April 19, 2014 - Cub Scout Belt Loop and Pin Day - This is a family fun event where Scouts and parents or leaders will work together to earn belt loops and pins at Camp Belzer. April 25-27, 2014 - Lincoln Pilgrimage Weekend, Springfield IL - You can join in on one the largest, one day , Scouting events in the country.  Take part in a host of activities, which include a tour of Lincoln's Tomb and Oak Ridge Cemetery,  special challenges and many trail options.   Click here for more information.  

May 10, 2014 – Indianapolis Indians Game and Graduation Party – All Scouts can come out to enjoy a day at Victory Field, play special games and run the bases.  Or upgrade your tickets to the party package to get a meal voucher, enjoy some extra activities, meet players and get autographs.  Circuit of Fun Event! May 9 and 10, 2014 - Central Indiana Merit Badge University - The 6th annual Central Indiana Merit Badge University program will be held Friday evening May 9th and Saturday May 10th at the Greenfield-Central JUNIOR High School located in Greenfield, Indiana. There will be four class sessions (8-10 PM Friday evening and 10:30- 
8:30am-noon, 1:30-5:00pm, and 6:00-9:30pm on Saturday). Camping will be available both Friday and Saturday nights, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday. There will be a "disaster drill" as one of the options on Friday evening in the 8:00pm-10:00pm session. We expect to offer more than 50 different merit badges in at least 80 classes over the four sessions. For more information visit here.

May 10, 2014 - Spring Webelos Activity Badge Day at Camp Belzer - This is a full day of adventure and fun for Webelos Scouts! Pick two from either the following Activity Badge Workshops: Artist, Engineer, Scientist or Craftsman or choose the Computers and Video Gaming Station hosted by Microsoft or the Fire Building and Knot Tying Station to prepare your for Boy Scouting. May 10, 2014 – Webelos Engineering Activity Badge at Whitewater Canal State Historic Site – Webelos can come to this historic site and earn their Engineering Activity Badge through hands on history experiences.  Click here for the flyer.

May 16, 2014 – Indianapolis Indians Overnight– Make lasting memories with your Boy or Cub Scout when he spends the night camping on a professional baseball field. Sell-out events every year, Boy and Cub Scouts attending will enjoy a baseball game, 2014 Scout patch, movie on the big screen, snack, campout on the perfectly groomed outfield and breakfast in the morning. June 14-15, 2014 Curiosity Fair at Conner Prairie - What are you curious about? What are you curious about?  Head to Conner Prairie and there is a good chance they have the answer.  Activities include: car crash testing, earthquakes, fossils, painting with light, electrical shows, steam engines, antique vehicles, pony rides, musical instruments, big machines, and so much more. Click here for more information.

Join us for a week of fun and adventure! Scouts will spend each day participating in hands-on activities. Most days Scouts will travel throughout Indianapolis to a new location at a community partner to participate in a unique and exciting STEM-based activity. October 18, 2014 – Cub Scout Fun Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 
–  BB guns, archery, rope making, hands on event with some of our Circuit of Fun partners, races, obstacle courses, STEM activities and lots more at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!  Circuit of Fun Event!


November, 2014 – Indiana Pacers – Come see the Pacers and get the best deal in town! For $12 (plus tax) you get a ticket to the game, shoot a free throw on Conseco’s main court, and hear a special post game talk by a player. For an upgraded ticket you get a discount on that ticket, all the benefits of the $12 ticket plus a t-shirt, hot dog, chips and small Pepsi product. Circuit of Fun Event!

December 7, 2014 – Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus - Back by popular demand the Scouts will share the arena during this must-see family event that can only be witnessed at The Greatest Show On Earth! Scouts are invited for a pre-show, all access event that will get them on the floor to meet performers, try on ringmaster jackets, see the elephants up close and be awe inspired! January 24, 2015 – Monster Truck Jam – Check out the action as these 10,000-pound monsters trucks come to town. All Scouts and their families will be given a free pit pass that will let you in before the general public to meet drivers and see the trucks! Circuit of Fun Event! DEADLINE December 19th!

February, 2015 – Indiana Ice – Discounted admission with lots of perks. All Scouts in uniform will have a chance to get on the ice and shoot a puck! Meet Big E. Foot, the Ice mascot! Plus the Ice are giving each Scout a special collectors Indiana Ice item. Enjoy lots of fun games and activities! Circuit of Fun Event!

March 14, 2015 – Supercross – This is an exciting, racing sport with specialized high performance off-road motorcycles. They race on a dirt track with steep jumps and obstacles. All Scouts will also receive a commemorative Supercross Poster! Circuit of Fun Event! DEADLINE February 2nd!

April 7-12, 2015 – Largest Pinewood Derby Track and Best in Show at the Indiana State Museum – Come race on the 120’ long two and half story track in the entryway of the Indiana State Museum. It is a impressive site. Plus take part in the best in show if you car is built more fun design than speed. Something for everyone at a great price! Circuit of Fun Event!

May, 2015 – Scout Days with the Indy Eleven – Check out the Indy's new soccer team!  Lots of fun for the whole family. Circuit of Fun Event!


Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country. 

Crossroads of America Council, Boy Scouts of America, organizes a Philmont Contingent annually. This trip includes side trips and travel times (dates may change slightly with air travel). We have reserved positions for 45 youth and 15 adults. Our Council will be traveling to Philmont as a group. Participant will be organized into crews of 12, possibly consisting of different unites and all adults who register will agree to provide leadership to all youth participants in their Philmont crew. All 60 positions are first come, first serve according to the Crossroads of America Council High Adventure Contingent Policy. In order to reserve a position, you will need to send the reservation form, below along with a deposit to the Golden-Burke Scout Center, 7125 Fall Creek Road North, Indianapolis, IN 46256. Once you have reserved your spot, more information will be sent in September/October the year before your trip.  Click here for some highlights of the council contingent trips.
