September / October 2013 – Cub Scout Fun Days – New this year we are offering more Fun Days to make activities like Fishing, BB guns, archery, rope making, and more available at locations all over the council. October 11, 18 & 25, 2013 – Extreme Scream at the Indianapolis Children's Museum Haunted House – Boy Scouts are your BRAVE enough? Get the special Boy Scout Rate of only $10. Recommended for those 15 and older. Tickets must be purchased by contacting Mary Carrico at 317-813-7094, email@example.com or by coming into the office during normal office hours.
October 12, 19 & 26, 2013 – Scout Late Night Adventures at the Indianapolis Children's Museum – Get ready for an adventure like no other! Besides touring the Frightening Hours of Time Warp, scouts will enjoy dinner and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Haunted House. You’ll explore a museum exhibit, see a special planetarium show, and play in our fabulous Fun Zone. The official Time Warp scout patch will be awarded to all brave adventure-seekers. October 25-27, 2013 – Civil War Days Battle of Belzer– The Battle of Belzer is an immersive reenactment where Scouts and leaders become a part of one of the most decisive times in our countries history, the Civil War. Scouts are the soldiers who learn to drill, march and battle with the tactics of the times. Boys will also participate in historical workshops that highlight the life and times of the era. October 26, 2013 – Cub Scout Art Belt Loop at The Art Lab – Cub Scouts get top notch artist support to learn art techniques and create some fun projects. Click here for the flyer and registration form.
November 23, 2013 – Indiana Pacers – Come see the Pacers and get the best deal in town! For $12 (plus tax) you get a ticket to the game, shoot a free throw on Banker's Life Fieldhouse's main court, and hear a special post game talk by a player. December 8, 2013 – Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus - Back by popular demand the Scouts will share the arena during this must-see family event that can only be witnessed at The Greatest Show On Earth! Scouts are invited for a pre-show, all access event that will get them on the floor to meet performers, try on ringmaster jackets, see the elephants up close and be awe inspired! January 25, 2014 – Monster Truck Jam – Check out the action as these 10,000-pound monsters trucks come to town. February 8, 2014 – Indiana Ice – Discounted admission with lots of perks. All Scouts in uniform will have a chance to get on the ice and shoot a puck! Meet Big E. Foot, the Ice mascot! March 16, 2013 – Supercross – This is an exciting, racing sport with specialized high performance off-road motorcycles. They race on a dirt track with steep jumps and obstacles. Late March or Early April – Largest Pinewood Derby Track and Best in Show at the Indiana State Museum – Come race on the 120’ long two and half story track in the entryway of the Indiana State Museum. It is a impressive site. Plus take part in the best in show if you car is built more fun design than speed. Something for everyone at a great price! Circuit of Fun Event!
May 2014 – Indianapolis Indians Game and Graduation Party – All Scouts can come out to enjoy a day at Victory Field, play special games and run the bases. Or upgrade your tickets to the party package to get a meal voucher, enjoy some extra activities, meet players and get autographs. Circuit of Fun Event!
Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
Crossroads of America Council, Boy Scouts of America, organizes a Philmont Contingent anually. This trip includes side trips and travel times (dates may change slightly with air travel). We have reserverd positions for 45 youth and 15 adults. Our Council will be traveling to Philmont as a group. Participant will be organized into crews of 12, possibly consisting of different unites and all adults who register will agree to provide leadership to all youth participants in their Philmont crew. All 60 positions are first come, first serve according to the Crossroads of America Council High Adventure Contingent Policy. In order to reserve a position, you will need to send the reservation form, below along with a deposit to the Golden-Burke Scout Center, 7125 Fall Creek Road North, Indianapolis, IN 46256. Once you have reserved your spot, more information will be sent in September/October the year before your trip.
