Microsoft Boy Scout Merit Badge Programming Spring 2014 - Crossroads of America Council is excited about a new partnership with the Microsoft Store located at the Fashion Mall at Keystone. STEM based merit badge programming will now be offered throughout the year for Boy Scouts. For courses, dates, registration and prerequisite information click here.
April 1-6, 2014 – Largest Pinewood Derby Track and Best in Show at the Indiana State Museum – Come race on the 120’ long two and half story track in the entryway of the Indiana State Museum. April 19, 2014 - Cub Scout Belt Loop and Pin Day - This is a family fun event where Scouts and parents or leaders will work together to earn belt loops and pins at Camp Belzer. A variety of pins and belt loops will be available to choose from, including Computers and Video Games stations hosted by Microsoft! Click here for flyer.
April 25-27, 2014 - Lincoln Pilgrimage Weekend, Springfield IL - You can join in on one the largest, one day , Scouting events in the country. Take part in a host of activities, which include a tour of Lincoln's Tomb and Oak Ridge Cemetary, special challenges and many trail options. Click here for more information.
May 10, 2014 – Indianapolis Indians Game and Graduation Party – All Scouts can come out to enjoy a day at Victory Field, play special games and run the bases. Or upgrade your tickets to the party package to get a meal voucher, enjoy some extra activities, meet players and get autographs. Circuit of Fun Event!

May 9 and 10, 2014 - Central Indiana Merit Badge University - The 6th annual Central Indiana Merit Badge University program will be held Friday evening May 9th and Saturday May 10th at the Greenfield-Central JUNIOR High School located in Greenfield, Indiana. There will be four class sessions (8-10 PM Friday evening and 10:30- 8:30am-noon, 1:30-5:00pm, and 6:00-9:30pm on Saturday). Camping will be available both Friday and Saturday nights, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday. There will be a "disaster drill" as one of the options on Friday evening in the 8:00pm-10:00pm session. We expect to offer more than 50 different merit badges in at least 80 classes over the four sessions. For more information visit here.
May 10, 2014 - Spring Webelos Activity Badge Day at Camp Belzer - This is a full day of adventure and fun for Webelos Scouts! Pick two from either the following Activity Badge Workshops: Artist, Engineer, Scientist or Craftsman or choose the Computers and Video Gaming Station hosted by Microsoft or the Fire Building and Knot Tying Station to prepare your for Boy Scouting. NEW! - STEM Based Cub Scout Fall Break Travel Camp (October 13-17, 2014)
Join us for a week of fun and adventure! Scouts will spend each day participating in hands-on activities. Most days Scouts will travel throughout Indianapolis to a new location at a community partner to participate in a unique and exciting STEM-based activity. Our staff will provide necessary leadership. Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
Crossroads of America Council, Boy Scouts of America, organizes a Philmont Contingent anually. This trip includes side trips and travel times (dates may change slightly with air travel). We have reserverd positions for 45 youth and 15 adults. Our Council will be traveling to Philmont as a group. Participant will be organized into crews of 12, possibly consisting of different unites and all adults who register will agree to provide leadership to all youth participants in their Philmont crew. All 60 positions are first come, first serve according to the Crossroads of America Council High Adventure Contingent Policy. In order to reserve a position, you will need to send the reservation form, below along with a deposit to the Golden-Burke Scout Center, 7125 Fall Creek Road North, Indianapolis, IN 46256.
