About the District

The Wabash Valley District covers six Western Indiana counties, including Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vigo, and Southern Vermillion County.  There are approximately 2,000 Scouts and 1,000 adult volunteers in 80 Scouting units.  The function of the Wabash Valley District can be divided into four areas: Membership, Finance, Program, and Unit Service.  In essence, these functions serve the purpose of extending opportunities for youth to join a Pack, Troop, or Crew; helping existing units provide quality program opportunities for their youth; and marshaling the resoruces of the District in terms of volunteers and money.
