District Pinewood Derby 

The District Pinewood Derby will be held on Saturday, March 14th. More details about time, location and how to register will be shared as soon as possible. Please read below about why the times and location are not set yet.

 

The district is looking for volunteers to help coordinate this event. There are two possible version of how the event can be run:

 

1.      If there is a pack that owns a track that would like to host it this year, that would be great. We are checking to confirm that the Park Place Community Center has been reserved. This version would run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with 1 hour sessions for each age group.

 

2.      If there are 4 packs that could each bring their track, that would be even better. We could then run races for Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos all at the same time. This version would run from 9:00 am to around noon (a much shorter day for everyone). If this is the version selected, we would then need to find a school gymnasium to hold the event (so there is enough room to have 4 tracks set up). We don’t expect a problem of finding an available gym somewhere in the district.
