 Summertime Activities Minimize

Choose these fun activities or plan your own so your pack and boys can earn the Summertime Pack Award! To earn the Summertime Pack Award all you have to do is plan (packs) or attend (youth) one activity in June, July, and August and fill out the form.  Choose from these events or do your own!

2008 Events

June

    • June 6 - Scout Campout at Victory Field 
      Watch a game, see a movie on the really big screen, have snacks and camp out at Victory field
       
    • June 14-22 - Holiday World
      Get discounted admission to this fantastic award winning park! Include rides, Splashin’ Safari & all you can drink Pepsi products for only $28, normally $39.95.
       
    • June 28 - Hauteans in Motion Bicycle Rally  (Terre Haute)
      Experience parts of Terre Haute’s Heritage Trail which is 5 miles long (10 mile route is down and back). Units may customize their ride. All routes and intersections are clearly marked and safety is a primary concern. Completion of Bicycling Belt Loop and partial completion of Bicycling Sports Pin.

July 

    • July 5 or 6 - Cincinnati Reds Scout Days  (Cincinnati)
      See Major League baseball for only $5! 
       
    • July 26 - The Eiteljorg Museum Presents - Outdoor Adventure Day
      Vertical and horizontal climbing walls, treasure hunt and earn your Language and Culture belt loop and learn about Native American culture through traditional language, games and stories. Discounted Scout rate of $6 adult and $3 child.
       
    • July 26-27 - Scout Overnight at the Brickyard 400 
      Campout inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, get snacks, breakfast, lunch and a hat, all for just $59! That is less than the normal ticket price of $75. 

August 

    • August 2-10 - Holiday World  (Santa Clause, IN)
      Get discounted admission to this fantastic award winning park! Include rides, Splashin’ Safari & all you can drink Pepsi products for only $28, normally $39.95.
       
    • August 15-17 - Gen Con Convention
      Want to do more as a family? Try games! There is no place better to find your new family classic than by going to Gen Con. And with different workshops for game night, Collections Belt Loop or VIP there is something for everyone, beginner to gamer.

Open Date Venues (call them and setup your own day)

    • Kelsay Farms 
      Scout Farm Tour package includes milking, feeding and caring for the animals and includes a brief lesson on the benefits of dairy foods. Each person gets a snack, goodie bag, a patch and coloring book.
       
    • Pat Barcom's Farm
      Pat has a love of kids and animals and she would be happy if your group would like to schedule a free visit to meet her exotic animals; deer, llama, swan, geese, peacock, donkey, monkey and parrot. She also has a hiking trial and creek where you can look for wild animal footprints. She lives just outside of Richmond and can be reached at 765-935-2152.
