The Crossroads of America Council, along with Marsh Supermarkets, will hold the 19th annual Cookout on the Circle Event on June 17th, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The event, held each year at Monument Circle, in downtown Indianapolis supports Scouting’s workership fund, sending hundreds of Scouts to local Scout camps for fun and adventure.
Volunteer Boy Scouts and their leaders will serve over 4,000 lunches to customers with corporate pre-sold and walk-up purchased tickets. Many of the Scout food servers, who will be on hand at this year’s event, will be able to experience the magic of summer camp thanks to the public support of those attending the Marsh Cookout on the Circle.
Participants will enjoy a summertime lunch of a grilled chicken breast or bratwurst, potato salad, cookie and drink. In the past, Frank Lazaran, CEO of Marsh Supermarkets, has spoke and served as the honorary chairman and the Indianapolis Mayor has hosted the VIP tent with over 100 downtown and area businesses expected to attend.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Indianapolis Roesch Scout Service Center or local Marsh Supermarkets starting in May 2010, or the day of the event. For those that work in the downtown Indianapolis area, consider selling a block of 25 tickets to your co-workers or employer. Get involved by volunteering as a cook or server for the Cookout, either as an individual or with your troop.
Help us make this year's Cookout a record breaker. We'll see you on the Cirlce!
