Awards are available for adult Scouters registered in Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing as well as district Scouters.
It is expected that it will take from 3-5 weeks to receive awards certificates once they have been properly completed and turned in at the Indianapolis Scout Office.
Procedures for awards:
- Obtain the Progress Card for the unit or district position you are currently registered. These are available at most training sessions, some Roundtables, and at all Crossroads Scout Offices.
- Tenure in registered position for all awards is required. Check card for time required.
- As you complete items get signed approval for that item. Approval should be by the person listed as the person to approve that specific item. Consult with your training chair or district executive if you do not know who should sign. District executives should not sign, a volunteer should be signing in all cases.
- When all items are complete have the district training chair sign for district action item.
- Turn card in to scout office. This may be mailed or handed in by you or your district training chair. If sending, send to the Indianapolis Scout Office.
- Cards will be checked and signed by the council training chair.
- Certificate will be issued if completed properly and tenure in registered position is correct.
- Certificate will be given to your district executive for presentation in an appropriate setting.
- Council Training Committee has the final authority in interpretation and approval of all awards.
