March

  • March 6 - Scout Day at the Shrine Circus - Get great discounts for the 65th Annual Shrine Circus  and get a special behind the scenes tour.  (Circuit of Fun Event)     

 

  • March 11 - 14125 foot long 2 Story,Pinewood Derby Track at the Indiana State Museum

    The second greatest spectacle in racing returns as the Indiana State Museum and the Boy Scouts of America Crossroads of America Council invite you to race your derby cars on the tallest, longest and fastest Pinewood Derby track. The two-story, 125-foot Pinewood Derby track at the Indiana State Museum will be open to the public on March 11 and 12. The official race is on March 13. All participating cars must be registered by 1 p.m. The track will be open for fun runs on March 14.  Fun runs daily if you just want to run your car down this awsome track!

    Daily museum admission during these special days is $3 per person for all scouts and their families and includes the chance to run your car down the track fora  fun run or the official race.

  • March 13Cub Scout Collections Belt Loop and Pin at Lanier Mansion (Madison, IN)   - Cub Scouts can earn your collections belt loop and pin at this great historic site.  
  • March 20Scouting for food bag drop (optional)   - Many Scout units choose to drop off bags at neighborhoods the week before the main collections to give people the opportunity to fill bags and leave them for pick up on March 27.  All Scouts and leaders that participate will recieve a free Scouting for Food Patch.

  • March 21Cub Scout Basketball Clinic with the Indiana Pacers   - Come take part in this one of a kind event.  Check out the games then stay afterword to get you on clinic down on the court!   All Cub Scouts who participate will earn the Basketball Belt Loop and Pin!   Hurry up space it limited!  

  • March 27Scouting for food    - Please help us to help the hungry.  We partner with the Kroger and the Girl Scouts to help local food pantries to feed families in need.  Your units can participate by collecting food door to door or by helping to collect food in a Kroger store.  All Scouts and leaders that participate will recieve a free Scouting for Food Patch.      
     
  • March 27 - Help needed for the NCAA Final Four (Scout Events Around the NCAA Final Four
    • Place stickers on cup holders in Lucas Oil Stadium
    • 200 Scouts, leaders or adults 10 years old or older needed (151 spots remaining on 3/9)
    • Everyone gets a free patch and tour of Lucas Oil Stadium including a locker room
    • Start at 1:00pm until 4:00-5:00pm

  • April 1st and/or 2nd - Help needed for the NCAA Final Four (Scout Events Around the NCAA Final Four)  - 

      • Place collectable Final Four Seat Cushions for participants
      • 200 Scouts, leaders or adults 10 years old or older needed
      • Everyone gets a free patch and collectable seat cushion
      • Thursday April 1st - 5:00pm until 8:00-9:00pm (114 spots remaining on 3/9)
      • Friday April 2nd - 6:00pm until 9:00-10:00pm (16 spots remaining on 3/9)

  • April 2 - NCAA Final Four Team Practices (Free Circuit of Fun patch to Scouts in Uniform and special seating wristbands available from 11:00AM to 5:30PM in the south lobby of Lucas Oil Stadium for Scouts and guests) (Scout Events Around the NCAA Final Four) 

    Come watch the student-athletes from the 2010 NCAA Final Four teams in their final practice before the national semifinal games right behind the basket!. Enjoy the opportunity to hear from each head coach of the participating Final Four teams after the practice session is completed. Fans in attendance will be randomly selected to win national semifinal and championship game tickets throughout the day!!  Practice times are based on team seeding:
     
    Noon - 12:50 p.m. - Game No. 1 Lower Seed
    1 - 1:50 p.m. - Game No. 2 Lower Seed
    2:10 - 3 p.m. - Game No. 1 Higher Seed
    3:10 - 4 p.m. - Game No. 2 Higher Seed

     Just show up at Lucas Oil Stadium for this special opportunity!  

 

  • April 2 - Reese's® College all Star Game   (Free Circuit of Fun patch to Scouts in Uniform and special seating wristbands available from 11:00AM to 5:30PM in the south lobby of Lucas Oil Stadium for Scouts and guests) (Scout Events Around the NCAA Final Four)  Following the Final Four team practices, the Reese’s College All-Star Game will take center stage at Lucas Oil Stadium. This game features the top basketball senior players and is co-produced by the NCAA and the NABC. And as a Scout or Scout guest you can get a wristband to sit right behind the basket on court level!  For the third year, the game will be played in the Final Four venue and will provide Indiana residents and NCAA basketball fans the chance to see many of the best college players for free.  Just show up at Lucas Oil Stadium for this special opportunity!  

  • April 4 - Downtown Dribble with the NCAA Final Four (Scout Events Around the NCAA Final Four)   The Scouts have the opportunity to lead the way as thousands of Indiana youth open up this special event by dribbling basketballs through the streets of downtown Indianapolis. Scouts will receive a free basketball, t-shirt, complimentary admission into Bracket Town and the NCAA Hall of Champions for participating. This event is FREE by signing up now with the online form here!      

 

  • April 9 - Help needed for the NCAA Final Four (Scout Events Around the NCAA Final Four) 
    • Remove stickers on cup holders in Lucas Oil Stadium
    • 200 Scouts, leaders or adults 10 years old or older needed (181 spots remaining on 3/9)
    • Everyone gets a free patch and tour of Lucas Oil Stadium including a locker room
    • Start at 5:30pm until about 8:00pm. New later start time.

  •  April 17 - Great Indy Clean Up - Help celebrate 100 years of Scouting the old fashion way, with SERVICE.  We are excited to partner with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to provide a series of service projects on April 17th for all ages and interests.  Sign up if you are interested.  More info coming soon, so save the date and make a difference!

 

May

  • May 8 - Webelos Activity Badge Day    - Give your Webelos Scout(s) a head start on earning activity badges or by learning Boy Scout skills (Adventure Stations).  Activity Badges offered: Artist, Craftsman, Engineer, Scientist.  Adventure Stations offered: Fire Building, Knots and Lashings, Indian Lore, Map and Compass.  Space is limited sign up early!  

  • May 15 - Webelos Engineer Badge at Whitewater Canal State Historic Site    - Fulfill requirments for the WEBELOS Engineering Badge including #1, 3, 4, 5 and 7 (2 and 7 should be completed on your own.  ONLY $4!  Hurry space is limited to the first 75 participants.  
  • May 23 Scout Day at Victory Field and Cub Scout Graduation  - Discounted admission to one of the best ball parks in america.  Enjoy some great baseball, all Scouts in uniform get to take part in a special crossover ceremony before the game and run the bases afterwords. And all Scouts get a free Cric   (Circuit of Fun Event)  

 

 June 

  • June 4 - Scout Campout with the Indianapolis Indians   - Take in an Indians game and take part in one of the best campouts ever!  You will never camp on more comfortable grass than sleeping in the outfield at victory field (weather permitting).  Watch the game, stay for the fireworks then move your car to the parking lot and bring your camping gear in.  Pick up your water and popcorn and watch a movie on the big screen!  Have a light breakfast then talk about it for years to come!  Space is limited sign up now!

  • August 13 - August 15 - The Adventure Base 100 , our 10,000-square-foot base camp of Scouting activity that is making its way across the country. Watch the following "Tales from the Trail" webisodes capturing the Adventure Base 100 experiences in Pasadena and San Diego.

  

*Many Council events are done in conjunction with other groups or agencies and these events may have special registration requirements and/or limited seating because the public may have the option to buy tickets. Please register as early as possible to ensure that your unit or family has the best opportunity to enjoy these special Scouting opportunies. Look for event flyers and registration forms for special registration details.
