Camp Krietenstein

An easy one-hour drive from downtown Indianapolis west on I-70, Camp Krietenstein has a rich history and excellent camping opportunities. It has been the base camp for the Terre Haute area communities, and has served as a Boy Scout Summer Camp for the Wabash Valley Council. The five-acre lake and all of the program facilities are conveniently located in the center of camp. There are seven primitive campsites located near the main camp area. A dining lodge seats about 150. This camp experience is for primitive campers, as it has limited facilities.  Several small cabins are available for winter camping as well as a dining hall (kitchen facilities not made available).
