Venturing / Exploring
Venturing is for young men and women, between the ages of 14 (having completed the eighth grade) and 21. Its purpose is to provide positive experiences to help youth mature and prepare them to become responsible adults. Exploring is for young men and women ages 14 through 20. Exploring units, called "posts", usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, health, law, aviation or engineering. They may be sponsored by a government or business entity.
