Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting
The “Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting” is an annual event where guests are given the opportunity to hear from Indiana’s Governor about the direction of our fine state and the positive effects that Scouting is having in our communities. We come together to share the impact of Scouting’s values-laden programs and extend an opportunity for each of our guests to pledge their financial support to this premier youth development movement. Through the support of 400 volunteers and business leaders in our area serving as Vice Chairs and Table Hosts for this event our goal is to raise 65 percent of our Annual Friends of Scouting Campaign goal. The efforts of these individuals raise the necessary funds to continue offering a quality program to 35,000 Indiana families. We anticipate that over 2,000 business & civic leaders will again attend this prestigious luncheon.
The 17th Annual Governor's Luncheon for Scouting broke another fundraising record with pledges of $1,149,632. More than 2,100 community and business leaders attended on Monday, December 17, 2012, as well as more than 100 Scouts and families who participated in the program.
