Marsh Cookout on the Circle

Every Scout deserves the opportunity to attend summer camp. The Annual Marsh Supermarkets Cookout on the Circle raises awareness of Scouting and supports Scouting Workership Fund which enables hundreds of central Indiana Scouts to receive the financial support they need to attend a Scouting Camps each summer. The 2013 Marsh Cookout raised $20,000 to support the council Scout workership fund, which allows over 1,000 Scouts to attend camp annually.

The 23rd annual Marsh Cookout on the Circle, co-chaired by Bruce McCaw and Mike Semler, is being planned for Thursday, June 19, 2014 (rain date June 20) on Monument Circle in Indianapolis. Please mark your calendar today, and help with this great cause. For more information, contact Leslie Anderson, 2014 Staff Advisor, by phone at (317) 813-7113.

Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting

 Governor Mike Pence

The “Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting” is an annual event where guests are given the opportunity to hear from Indiana’s Governor about the direction of our fine state and the positive effects that Scouting is having in our communities.  We come together to share the impact of Scouting’s values-laden programs and extend an opportunity for each of our guests to pledge their financial support to this premier youth development movement. Through the support of 400 volunteers and business leaders in our area serving as Vice Chairs and Table Hosts for this event our goal is to raise 65 percent of our Annual Friends of Scouting Campaign goal. The efforts of these individuals raise the necessary funds to continue offering a quality program to 35,000 Indiana families. We anticipate that over 2,000 business & civic leaders will again attend this prestigious luncheon.

The 18th Annual Governor's Luncheon for Scouting welcomed more than 2,100 community and business leaders on December 9, 2013 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis and raised more than $1 million.
