Start Date: 3/22/2014Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Date: 3/22/2014End Time: 1:30 PM
Event Description
The WD9BSA Amateur Radio Group will be sponsoring the SkyWarn Training session. SkyWarn spotters provide essential information for all types of weather hazards. The main responsibility of a SkyWarn spotter is to identify and describe severe local storms. In the average year, 10,000 severe thunderstorms, 5,000 floods and more than 1,000 tornadoes occur across the United States. These events threaten lives and property. This training session will teach spotters to properly identify and report severe weather.

This will be held in the basement of the Camp Belzer Activity Center. Enter on the northwest corner of the building. For more information contact Randy Biggs (317-862-3261/317-989-3261), Thomas O'Nan (317-255-6004/317-225-5495), or wd9bsa@crossroadsbsa.org.
