ARRL (American Radio Relay League) Field Day - 24 hours on the air!
Start Date: 6/28/2014Start Time: 11:00 AM
End Date: 6/29/2014End Time: 2:00 PM
Event Description
ARRL (American Radio Relay League) Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June of each year, more than 35,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations. All Scouts are welcome to come and camp and get on teh air with the help of the WD9BSA Bert Johnson memorial Station group. Rain or shine, this is the place to be for Amateur Radio.

The event started as an exercise to practice emergency communications in the field during disasters. It was fun, and now we continue this tradition and still practice communications emergency preparedness while at the same time having a great time.

The station is in the basement of the Camp Belzer Activity Center. Enter on the northwest corner of the building. For more information contact Randy Biggs (317-862-3261/317-989-3261), Thomas O'Nan (317-255-6004/317-225-5495), or
