Daylight Savings Time Begins
End Time 1:00 PM Marlinspike Skills Course (Multi-Day Event)
Marlinspike Skills is the old sailors term for fancy knot tying. Join us to learn how to tie some of the most interesting and decorative knots that you will ever see, along with many practical knots. This adults only course offers hands-on instruction by the Crossroads of America Councils best teachers of knots and rope work. (Of course we are biased in our opinion). Knowledge of basic knot tying is a plus, but not required. If you have a willingness to learn you will enjoy this course.
End Time 11:00 AM National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) Staff Development (Multi-Day Event)
For White Stag staff members only.
2:00 PM - 7:30 PM Amateur Radio WD9BSA Open Operations Day
Come and experience the world of Amateur Radio at the WD9BSA Bert Johnson Memorian Amateur Radio Station. Visiting Scouts of all ages will be able to complete their communications requirements for advancement and help with their Radio Merit Badge requirements as well. WD9BSA Group members will be on hand to explain, demonstrate and help Scouts with getting on the air with the station equipment as needed. Open to the public. Walk-ins welcome. We ask that larger groups contact the WD9BSA Group to schedule their events specifically at wd9bsa@crossroadsbsa.org.

Open Operation Days are always the second Sunday of each month, August through May with special days scheduled as needed for special events. The station is in the basement of the Camp Belzer Activity Center. Enter on the northwest corner of the building.
