Camp/Discount Cards 

Camp Card Returns- Camp and Discount Cards may be returned in any increment to any council service center without penalty no later than Friday, April 20th. Cards that are being returned must be in excellent condition. The Crossroads of America Council reserves the right to refuse accepting cards that have been damaged or are in poor condition. Any unsold cards that are not returned by April 20th will become the units responsibility. No cards will be accepted for return after April 20th. 

Camp Card Payment- The final balance for Camp Cards must be paid no later than Friday, May 4th. Camp Card payment can be made at any council service center. Please ensure that unit payment for Camp and Discount Cards is in the form of a check (made payable to "CAC-BSA"), Scout unit account, cashier's check/money order, credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or Cash.

Can’t send someone in to pay your invoice in person by 5/4? Camp Cards payments can be made by credit card over the phone (317-813-7125), check payments via mail, or charged to a unit Scout Shop account (by approved signers).

Any camp card balance that is not paid by May 4th will adjust commission to 25% starting on May 5th.

The annual spring Camp/Discount Card sale allows Scout units to raise funds to pay for their summer Scouting program. "Camp Cards" are discount cards sold for $10 each to the general public.  Unit commission will be 50% on each card ($5.00).  Funds earned from this fundraiser may be used for any Scouting or Exploring purpose -- to purchase equipment such as tents and backpacks, summer camp and activity fees, high adventure trip, uniform, handbooks, membership fees, event fees, etc.  Camp/Discount Cards are meant to complement, not take the place of, popcorn sales in the fall. 


How Does My Unit Get Started? 

1. Choose one adult to serve as the Camp/Discount Card Coordinator.

2. Through your unit committee, decide HOW your unit will sell Camp/Discount Cards.

3. Order your Camp/Discount Cards online (between January 17-February 9). 
   additional cards, if necessary, between March 2-April 6>

4. Track your Scout's/Explorer's cards.

5. Return unsold cards to any council service center by April 20, 2018.

6.  Full payment to any council service center by May 4, 2018.

Storefront Sales

Storefront sales has been a popular method of selling Camp Cards in previous years. We are working with some of the vendors on this year's Camp Card to see if Camp Card sales will be possible this year. Please do not contact individual stores asking about storefront opportunities. Information on vendors that will allow storefront sales will be updated as it is available. 

DICK'S Sporting Goods, Jiffy Lube and Kroger do NOT allow for storefront sales.
Please do not contact any of their stores requesting to sell cards in front of their locations.

2018 Camp Card / Discount Card Timeline

January 17 - February 9
Council will accept initial orders online (to be guaranteed ready by 2/26-2/27 pick-up days)
*Units may order cards online between February 10 - April 6, but unit orders will only be filled twice a week and are not guaranteed to be immediately available.

**Your 2018 unit order might be limited if your unit returned 75% or more cards in 2017.

February 26 & 27
Camp Card pick-up days (8:30 am-6:00 pm at all Council Service Centers)

March 1 - April 13
Camp Card sale dates

April 20
Deadline to return unsold Camp Cards (in excellent condition) for unit credit

May 4
Full payment due to council service centers (for maximum commission of 50%)



RETURN POLICY:
-Cards may be returned in any increments and must be in excellent condition by 4/20/2018.
-Camp Cards will not be accepted for "returns" after April 20th and become the financial responsibility of the unit.

-Units may return any amount of total ordered Camp Cards to the council for unit credit.

PAYMENT POLICY:
-Payment due to the council is $5.00 per sold card by 5/4/2018.  (Unit keeps the other $5.00 from customer purchases.)
-Failure to pay by this deadline costs your unit an additional 25% commission on each card (i.e. instead of paying $5.00/card, you would pay $7.50/card).
