From the Director’s Desk

I am proud to announce that the Wabash Valley District has achieved a Gold Level Status for Journey to Excellence! I would like to thank all scouts, scouters, and volunteers who have been a part of this great program enriching ourselves and each other’s lives. 

Has your unit scheduled your Friends of Scouting Family Presentation? All units who acheive 100% of their unit goal will receive Free Rank Advancement for the 2019 calendar year.

Roundtables

Roundtable is a monthly meeting for all registered unit leaders and parents, for fellowship, information, training and troubleshooting.

Some months at Terre Haute – 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 PM, at Memorial UMC –  2701 Poplar St., Terre Haute, Ind. and other months at Greencaslte – 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7 PM, at Julian Center, DePauw Univ.

Training Update

All direct-contact leaders in Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA units must be position specific trained by December 1st, 2019. If you have any questions please contact myself or our District Training Chair, Michelle Striegel. 

Service Projects

Not only is this a part of Journey to Excellence, but it should be a normal part of your unit’s activities. A service project to benefit your chartering organization is something every unit should do! Click here to log your hours.
