What is Exploring
Exploring is a unique career exploration program for male and female young adults 14-20 years of age, who have completed the eighth grade.
There are more than 60 Exploring Post options to choose from, and each is unique in the way it uses the resources of the host organization. Exploring can be the first step in identifying career possibilities while having fun in an exciting and informal environment.
Programs are flexible enough to fit in with other activities. Most meet once or twice a month throughout the school year. Exploring will confirm your interest in a career field, or help you decide that career is not for you and point you in another direction.
Most Exploring programs parallel the high school calendar and begin in the fall. There are a number of programs that start at other times during the year to meet the needs of the host organization and participants.
Students are not limited in the number of Exploring Posts they may participate in at any time.
Participation fees for most Exploring programs range from $15.00 to $20.00 for the total program.
Already participating in Exploring? You can join another program; and you may nominate any Explorer participant or adult advisor for Exploring's prestigious youth or adult awards.
