2010 Lodge Calendar Change
LEC Scheduled for August 22nd The Lodge Executive Committee has voted to hold a meeting during the month of August. This meeting will be in addition to the ones that are listed in the Lodge Plan Book. The meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. on August 22, 2010 at the new Indianapolis Scout Office. Any questions should be directed to the Lodge Chief or Advisor. LLD Moved to First Weekend in December Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) training has been moved to the first weekend in December to be held in conjunction with Winter Banquet. Arrowmen who are considering running for Lodge or Chapter Office should be aware that the training is required for all elected Lodge and Chapter officers. All Arrowmen are welcome to attend the training and encouraged to attend Winter Banquet! The Lodge Executive Committee (LEC) will still meet on November 21, 2010 at 2:30 p.m.

Arrowmen Needed to Staff Adventure Base 100 at Indiana State Fair
Jaccos Towne Lodge is in charge of staffing Adventure Base 100 at the Indiana State Fair August 13-15, 2010. Arrowmen are needed for shifts from 9 am to 9 pm. The Lodge will purchase tickets to allow volunteers to enter the fairgrounds. Members of the LEC should watch for an email from the Lodge Chief regarding shifts and should pass the word to Arrowmen in their chapters. The Lodge is aware that the weekend is also Firecrafter Grand Ritual, but the Council is depending on the Lodge to provide 40 Arrowmen at all times for these three days. Lodge Ordeal Moved to Camp Kikthawenund
The Lodge Ordeal scheduled for September 17-19, 2010 has been moved to Camp Kikthawenund. Please get the word out! The registration form is available here. 2010 Fall Fellowship The Tale of the White-Sashed Pirates Ahoy, me hearties! Sign on with the pirate crew at Fall Fellowship for a swash-buckling good time as we explore "The Tale of the White-Sashed Pirates." Fall Fellowship will be held aboard the buccaneer vessel Kikthawenund - also known as Camp Kikthawenund, October 15-17, 2010! New Lodge Flap Set Available
The new Lodge flap set is available for sale at Council Scout Shops for $5. It will also be available at Lodge events in the Fall. Lodge Receives Goodman Camping Award
The E. Urner Goodman Award was established in 1969 as a tribute and testimonial to the Order's founder, E. Urner Goodman. Its purpose is to encourage and challenge Order of the Arrow members and lodges to increase their effectiveness in promoting and increasing Scout camping in each council. Awards are presented to two outstanding lodges in each region annually.
Jaccos Towne Lodge has made a concentrated effort to do summer camp promotions in all units and to work with District Camping Committees to promote camping. That effort has been recognized by the National Order of the Arrow Committee with the E. Urner Goodman Camping Award!
