Cub Scout Day Camp at Johnson County Park (June 21-25)

Mark your calendars! This year’s Pathfinder District Cub Scout Day Camp is scheduled for June 21-25.
Once again, this year’s camp will be held at Johnson County Park, near Camp Atturbury. Day Camp is the perfect way to culminate your pack’s Year of Scouting! In 2009, more than 180 Pathfinder Cub Scouts attended District Day Camp!
The theme for the 2010 Pathfinder Day Camp is Scouting: A National Treasure. Get ready to swim, raft and hike your way through a week of fun, culminating in a family campout at the end of the week! Led by a group of dedicated volunteers, the Pathfinder District Day Camp promises to be another fun, action-packed adventure.
Don't wait too long to make your reservations - camp will be limited to the first 200 Scouts that sign up!

Cub Scout Day Camp at Camp Belzer
|

|
If a Cub Scout can't attend Day Camp at Johnson County Park, another option is to attend Day Camp at Camp Belzer (6102 Boy Scout Rd, Indianapolis).
At Camp Belzer Cub Scouts swim, canoe and play for five days and one overnight.
The schedule for Day Camp in 2010 is:

Webelos Adventure Camp

|

Kikthawenund Scout Camp near Anderson is the council’s "resident" Cub Scout camp, which caters to the adventuresome minds of nine and ten year-old boys. This popular offering gives Webelos a four-day, three-night camping experience with many unique facilities, like Fort Miami and Daniel Beard’s tree houses.
Dates available are: June 6-9, June 9-12, June 13-16, June 16-19, June 20-23, June 23-26, June 27-30, June 30-July 3, July 7-10, July 11-14 and July 14-17.

Ransburg Scout Reservation
Beautifully situated on Lake Monroe, one of the state’s largest lakes, Ransburg Scout Reservation is 624 acres of adventure. Baden Powell & Dan Beard Camp
|
 |
|
Baden-Powell Camp offers the opportunity for Scouts to work on several merit badges, many being Eagle required. Located at Belzer Scout Camp on the northeast side of Indianapolis, the camp operates Monday through Thursday from 8:45 to 3:00. Scouts that are First Class or higher as well as those Scouts who have completed the Dan Beard Camp are eligible to attend. Campers will be given the opportunity for a recreational swim each day. Dan Beard Camp is designed for younger Scouts, who will have the opportunity to complete various requirements towards the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class. This camp will emphasize the major skills needed in those three ranks. Scouts attending Dan Beard will also earn the First Aid merit badge and Camper, the first rank of Firecrafter. Dan Beard Camp is located at Belzer Day Camp on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The camp operates Monday through Thursday from 8:45AM to 3:00PM. Visit the Dan Beard Camp website

Philmont Scout Ranch (Cimarron, New Mexico)

Born in 1938 as "Philturn Rocky Mountain Scout Camp", today's Philmont Scout Ranch is a bustling center for high adventure and training. Philmont Scout Ranch is the Boy Scouts of America's oldest national high-adventure base. Its 34 staffed camps and 55 trail camps provide an unforgettable adventure in the high country along hundreds of miles of rugged, rocky trails.
The area surrounding the ranch is rich with history, from the Native Americans who made thus arid land their home to the land barons of the 19th century. The town of Cimarron boasts a number of historical buildings, including the St. James Hotel - site of at least 26 killings during Cimarron's wilder days. Florida Sea Base (Islamorada, Florida)

The Florida Sea Base operates nine different adventures out of three different locations: two in the Florida Keys, and one in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas. The adventures - Coral Reef Sailing, Sea Exploring Adventure, Scuba Adventure, Scuba Certification, and Live Aboard Scuba Adventure operate in the Florida Keys at Mile Marker 73.8 at Sea Base on Lower Matecumbe Key, located 75 miles south of Miami.
The Florida Sea Base is owned and operated by the Boy Scouts of America to offer educational aquatic programs. Located in Islamorada, the near shore reefs and clear waters offer unparalleled opportunities for long-term and short-term programs year-round. Northern Tier High Adventure Base (Ely, Minnesota)

Since 1923, Scouts have been voyaging into the great north wilderness to seek adventure. During your visit you may see eagles soaring overhead, walleye swimming in the pristine lakes or a moose during a portage.
The Northern Tier High Adventure Base is the ONLY outfitter in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area charged by the Boy Scouts of America to deliver the Scouting program to Scouts and leaders adventuring into North America's canoe country.
Some of the best weather, snow conditions, facilities, and terrain for cold weather camping in North America are offered through the OKPIK Adventure program at Northern Tier. OKPIK provides a highly-trained staff to help you learn cold weather camping skills such as dog sledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, clothing and sleeping systems, snow shelter building, animal tracking, cold weather cooking, and ice fishing.
