About the CAC Strategic Plan
The Crossroads of America Council is creating a 3-year strategic plan for 2025 -2027 and is gathering input on key issues related to Scouting. This process is guided by TPMA, a TPMA, a strategic planning consulting firm, ensuring that our collective efforts are focused and impactful. The strategic planning committee that is overseeing this process consists of the council’s core leadership team and executive committee.
The process will consist of extensive stakeholder engagement, ranging from paid staff to volunteer leaders, parents, and executives. The TPMA team will use those opportunities to listen to the thoughts and ideas of all the participants who feel compelled to assist by offering their insights and suggestions. Data analysis, “best practices” evaluation, and recommendations will also be a part of the process.
We began in July 2024, with the official launch on July 19th. Stakeholder engagement commenced in July and will continue through October. Ultimately, a draft of the plan will be delivered to the Council sometime in November, with a final adoption in January 2025.
As mentioned above, the plan will be heavily informed by extensive engagement with stakeholders who are the heart and soul of Scouting. In addition to family and volunteer surveys that are open until 09/20/24, TPMA is hosting several in-person and virtual engagements to capture priorities for key issues related to Scouting. This feedback falls into three categories: what stakeholders would like to see the council “Start, Stop, and Continue.”
