Pioneer District of Crossroads of America Council

The Pioneer District of Crossroads of America Council serves 40 Scouting units located within the following counties in central Indiana: Hancock and southeast Marion counties. Our school support comes from Greenfield Central School District, Southern Hancock School Corporation, Irvington Community Schools, Warren Township, and Indianapolis Public Schools, as well as the private and parochial schools within our territory. These units have more than 1,163 members that are supported by 300 unit and district volunteers.

Winter Camporee

The Pioneer District is hosting the Central Section’s Chills and Thrills Winter Camporee at Camp Kikthawenund from January 24-26, 2020. Online registration opens December 1, 2019 and is available here.

Roundtables

Have you been to a roundtable lately? If not, you need to find out what you are missing!  Roundtables are monthly gatherings of leaders and other adult volunteers in Pioneer District where important information is shared and new skills are learned. All roundtables take place at Cumberland United Methodist Church at 219 N. Muessing St., Indianapolis, Ind., 46229 at 7pm.

Is your Scout preparing for Eagle rank? If so, be sure to read the Eagle Board procedures to ensure that he can complete the path to Eagle as smoothly as possible. Be prepared!

District Awards Program

We in the Pioneer District appreciate all of our volunteers for their timeless hard work. A recognition ceremony for these volunteers will be held Thursday, February 20th at Calvary Christian Fellowship. More information can be found on the flyer here.
