Eagle Scout Service Project Application Process

Using the Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook, Scouts are able to read and fill out pages 1-6 for their own reference. A project idea must receive tentative approval from a unt leader before the Scout is to complete pages 7-10. This is the Eagle Scout Service Project Section. After acquiring the appropriate signatures, the Scout will present their project proposal, in person, to the District Advancement Committee for final approval.

The District Advancment Committee meets the 4th Thursday of each month from 7 – 8pm, at Pendleton First United Methodist Church (225 State St., Pendleton, IN 46064), to hear Eagle Scout Project proposals. Upon project proposal approval, the Scout may start their project.

Eagle Board of Reviews will be conducted on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Pendleton First United Methodist Church (225 State St., Pendleton, IN 46064) starting at 7pm. In order to be eligible to have a Board of Review at the next Board of Review date, the applicant’s package must have been received at the Muncie or Indianapolis Scout office a minimum of 10 business days before the upcoming Board of Review date.

After the Scout has completed the service project, he will need to complete the Eagle Scout Service Project Final Plan section, pages 11-22 of the workbook. When the Scout is finished with this section the following documents should be collected and presented neatly, in a folder or 3-ring binder to the Scout Office.

  • Eagle Scout Application (fully signed);
  • Requirement 7 (see the back of the Eagle Scout Application);
  • Eagle Scout Service Project Proposal (pages 7-10);
  • Eagle Scout Service Project Final Plan (pages 11-22).

The completed folder or binder must be taken to one of the following Scout offices:

  • Golden-Burke Scout Center7125 Fall Creek Rd. N., Indianapolis, Ind., 46256  |  (317) 813-7127
  • Muncie Scout Office – 3400 E. Jackson St., Muncie, Ind., 47303 | (765) 288-0223

Fall Popcorn Sale

Scouting units can earn enough money through the fall popcorn fundraising sale to fund the rest of their Scouting year! Would you like for your Scouts to attend summer camp, participate in Scouting events, and be recognized for their achievements all at no additional cost? Encourage Scouts to sell popcorn! Need new unit equipment? Sell popcorn!

Most unit fundraisers max out at 50% profit and raise funds needed to support the unit. Last year, more than 73% of gross retail popcorn sales were returned to support Scouting – benefiting Scouts, units, districts, and the council. You can be proud to sell Trail’s End popcorn because the products are delicious and the proceeds benefit everyone.
