Community Partner Activities

Crossroads of America Council partners with several community organizations throughout the year to offer Scout units and families discounted and/or "behind the scenes" experiences at attractions and events.  Families are welcome to attend events without their Scouting unit.

Scout Night with the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium - August 13, 2017 - 1:30pm

Boys Scouts and troops statewide are invited to attend the Indianapolis Colts vs. Detroit Lions game. The day will include a special ticket offer to Colts game, pre-game performance presented by the Colts Mascot, Blue, in his very own "Be the Best You Can Be" Show and a customized "Blue" Scout patch!

Scout Night with Indy Eleven- Saturday, September 23, 2017; 6 pm 
Carroll Stadium - IUPUI

Scouts and their family are invited to participate in our fantastic Scout Night with the Indy Eleven. By purchasing tickets thorough this offer, Scouts will be able to kick a soccer ball into the net on the field after the match and receive a FREE Indy Eleven Scout Night Patch!

Merit Badge and Advancement Activities

Throughout the year, Crossroads of America Council will host several merit badge and rank advancement opportunities for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. Many of these are offered in conjunction with Community Partners such as Microsoft and the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, to name a few. Check back often as new activities will be added frequently.

Boy Scout Public Health Merit Badge Workshop - July 11, 2017

Join us at the Indiana State Department of Health on July 11, from 9 am - 4 pm for a Public Health Merit Badge Workshop. Please make sure to COMPLETE requirements #1, #3 and #8 BEFORE the workshop. The workbook is available via PDF. 

Please carefully READ & SIGN the talent release form and BRING it with you to the workshop.

Mining is Society and Geology Merit Badge Workshop - Saturday June 24 from 9 am - 4 pm Hosted by the Indiana Mineral Aggregates Association and Martin Marietta

Boy Scouts are invited to join us to work on their Mining in Society and Geology merit badges at the Martin Marietta's North Indianapolis Quarry from 9 am -4 pm. Check in begins at 8:30 am and lunch is provided. Scouts are REQUIRED to bring their own blue cards. Registration is $20 per Scout. Register today for this unique opportunity as space is limited. Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge Workshop at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site

What does it mean to be a Citizen? Find out at the home of Indiana's only US president.

Did you know that President Benjamin Harrison is t he reason you recite the Pledge of Allegiance and your school flies the US flag.

IPL Merit Badge Partnership Incentive

Scouts who earn the Energy or Sustainability merit badge in 2017 will receive a lantern courtesy of IPL. To claim the incentive, the unit Advancement Chair must submit the merit badge completion form to any council Scout Shop.

St. Vincent Merit Badge Partnership Incentive

Scouts who earn the First Aid merit badge in 2017 will receive a first aid kit courtesy of St. Vincent. To claim the incentive, the unit Advancement Chair must submit the merit badge completion form to any council Scout Shop.
